Home decorating challenge #1: the blank wall

Monday, June 9, 2014

If you’re a renter in Dubai you’ve had one in your life: the dreaded blank beige wall. Zen Interior’s Designer, Hadeel Abu Baker, told Better Homes how she likes to hide this every day eyesore.

“One of the best ways of filling up a boring blank wall is to fill it with picture frames of various shapes, sizes and colours. The fact that the wall is plain is actually a big advantage: it allows the different coloured frames to really stand out. The different sizes and shapes of the pictures will create an eye-catching feature and also mean you’re less likely to get bored of the feature. Lastly, printing some photos of family and friends will give the wall an identity that is unique to you at a very reasonable cost.”
