Dubai Property Show 2016 was successfully held for the second consecutive year from May 13 to 15, at the prestigious Olympia West Hall in London. DLD’s participation at the property show London runs parallel with a series of other successful events within an initiative known as ‘Tarweej’.

Sponsored by Dubai Land Department (DLD), the property exhibition has established itself as a solid platform for developers based in the UAE. The DLD was there to present their latest projects in one of the largest European capitals, and to reveal the attractive investment haven that is Dubai to British investors.

London has always been an extremely important market through its strong trade exchange and commercial links to Dubai, and the large British expatriate community living and working in the Emirates. British investors have been at the forefront of foreign nationalities most active in the Dubai property market. Statistics revealed by DLD show that in 2015, British nationals invested £1.9 billion, ranking 4th among 198 nationalities investing in Dubai property, spending nearly AED 62 billion on more than 33,000 properties, comprising lands, building and residential Dubai property.

Projects featured at the property exhibition ranged from ultra-swanky beachfront developments that are popular among British buyers, to villas, beach properties and affordable communities that offer solid returns on investment. Dubai Properties, a leading UAE-based master developer, showcased their latest projects, including 1/JBR, Arabella 2 and Serena, offering British investors a wide portfolio of investment opportunities at the property exhibition. Visitors could also discuss future Dubai property investment plans with leading experts and agents from the city at the event.

The three day property exhibition also brought together sales and marketing professionals, hospitality and real estate developers, financial institutions, government departments, architects and leading interior designers. DLD reported a huge number of visitors, and shareholder enquiries on the opportunities to invest in the burgeoning Dubai property market.
