Envisioned as the world’s most iconic horseracing development, the key areas of the Meydan district include Nad Al Sheba, best known for its racecourse and being the venue of the Dubai World Cup. It is located within close proximity of the Meydan racecourse and is expected to soon become home to the world’s richest horse racing world cup. Meydan City also houses residential and commercial plots, retail outlets, berthing facilities for over 50 leisure yachts and boats, bicycle lanes, tram lines, parks, and stunning waterfront and promenade views.

Al Quoz is also a key area in the Meydan district and is best known for its industrial areas and labour accommodation facilities and comprises of four main sub-areas, namely, Al Quoz First, Second, Third, and Fourth Industrial Area.
