The Challenge

Smaller in size than the average mall in Dubai, one of the major challenges we faced with the Village Mall was the inevitable comparisons with other leading ventures, such as Mall of the Emirates and Bur Juman. The Village Mall also houses the Better Homes Head Office, thereby making the success of its management an important one.

Our Plan

Competing for size with other Dubai malls was out of the question, so we aimed for a unique retail mix and targeted stores that were exclusive, yet held local and international appeal. We aimed to offer a variety of products and services to capture the essence of a chic neighborhood mall in a tranquil European setting.

The Result

The mall now has a unique mix of boutique shops and cafés on the ground floor and offices on the second floor. We achieved our target of making it a chic and cosy mall and it now has numerous dedicated shoppers and office employees adding to its loyal customer base. Its indoor and outdoor options for cafés are a huge favourite. The mall’s success is also apparent from its many features in leading local magazines and print media.
