Each weekday, our editors are sharing their quick tips, workouts, recipes, and observations to help us make the most of our time at home. We hope it makes your day a little bit brighter. #stayhome
Let’s start with some good news…
Dedicated TikTokers can put nimble fingers to good use, and join regional celebs including Raya Abirached, Ahmed Helmy and Khalid and Salama, by taking part in the #ThankYouHeroes challenge to show appreciation to the health professionals battling the spread of COVID-19. Launched in collaboration with Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the initiative invites you to create a video thanking doctors, nurses, paramedics and administrators in the health sector who are working hard to keep the UAE community safe, using the #ThankYouHeroes hashtag.

Do this for a healthy mind

Delicious deliveries to your door
If you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to ruin your diet, don’t worry as House Of Pops from Zomato has a collection of colourful iced lollies in a multitude of favours that are completely guilt-free. All natural, vegan and free from refined sugar – simply repeat after us: “My body is a temple…”
What to watch
One to watch with the kids, The Big Show Show spotlights retired WWE wrestler, Big Show, who has been given his own series (who was going to argue otherwise). It follows the 7ft giant and his family as they tackle daily life in Florida and he adapts to a new career in real estate.
What to listen to
Need a pick me up during these strange times? The How To Fail podcast (released every Wednesday) will make you feel better about yourself. Journalist Elizabeth Day talks to guests about their biggest failures and how they have helped them to achieve greatness.
Want to tick some home improvements off your list? Why not use this time to create a gallery wall using the stunning art prints from The Bowery Company, which is delivering as usual during the disinfection drive.
Isolators we love
If you manage to get around to a bedtime story after home-schooling, working from home and simply surviving the day without a crash-and-burn ending, you are doing remarkably well. But if you don’t, just know that you’re with the majority. So why not let Robbie Williams entertain you (and the kids) as he reads Jazz Dog as part of the CBeebies bedtime story series?
Join the party
Join the 2.38 million subscribers listening to independent music platform Boiler Room, which is streaming DJ sets from its isolated woodland retreat daily via YouTube.
