Each weekday, our editors are sharing their quick tips, workouts, recipes, and observations to help us make the most of our time at home. We hope it makes your day a little bit brighter. #stayhome
Let’s start with some good news…
Helping to ensure that vulnerable people in the UAE are fed, the Dar Al Ber Society is delivering up to 9,200 meals per day to poor communities across the country. To date, the charity has supplied more than 120,000 meals to those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. “Providing food to the needy is one of the main focuses of Dar Al Ber Society’s humanitarian activities, so we decided to help laborers affected by the outbreak of COVID-19,” said Dr. Hisham Al Zahrani, Deputy Director, Social Sector. If you would like to contribute, you can sponsor a meal for a person for Dhs10, or a food basket for a family for Dhs500 – simply contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

What to watch
Join us as we work our way up Empire magazine’s list of Greatest Movies of All Time to number 49: Trainspotting (1996). In arguably the best performance of his career Ewan McGregor plays Mark Renton, who is trying to conquer his demons as he struggles through life in Edinburgh. A true British classic.
What to listen to
Susannah Constantine (from Trinny and Susannah fame) explores the impact of our relationship with clothes in My Wardrobe Malfunction. Each episode features special guests, such as Tan France and Elizabeth Hurley, as they discuss fashion blunders and wins. Relatable content for sure.
If you’ve got a home maintenance emergency but are concerned about letting people through the door, We Will Fix It has you covered. The company is now offering a complimentary disinfection service with every booking, ensuring the areas they’ve been working in are sparkling clean, so you have peace of mind.
Isolators we love
Will Smith has the innate ability to spread joy and positivity from afar, and his new #WillFromHome series is exactly what you would expect: entertaining, funny, yet there is still a message of sincerity. His first episode showcases his relationship with Jayden but throws out the witty one-liners… as always.
