Christmas in Dubai; here's what you need to know

The winter months are dubbed one of the best times of year in this beautiful city and rightly so. The cooler climate allows for many more outdoor activities to be comfortably enjoyed, so whether you’re a tourist or a resident in Dubai this Christmas, there’s an array of attractions across the city this weekend that are guaranteed to put you in the festive spirit!

Let’s take a look at them.

Head to a Winter Garden

The Winter Garden at Habtoor Palace is first up on our list and is one for everyone to enjoy. You’ll find a host of pop-up stalls, international street food, local favourites and specialities. Plus, there are a bunch of spectacular activities including a dedicated play area, an art display and fun rides for the little ones. A must-visit for all of the family!

Catch a movie in the snow

If you’re jealous of all the snowy snaps from home while you’re away – we’ve got just the thing to help. Head to Ski Dubai in The Mall of the Emirates and fill your boots (literally) with a multitude of winter activities, including cosying up and watching your favourite Christmas movie amid the white stuff! You could even pop to Santa’s grotto on the way out and tell him all about it!

Go to a Christmas market

Christmas markets are dotted all over town, and they’re the perfect place to shop for unusual and unique christmas presents while supporting local businesses at the same time. There’s more than just shopping to be enjoyed though, most markets have an array of activities for the little ones and there’s plenty of local cuisines to try too.

Festive Brunch

In a sentence, Dubai brunches are like epic feasts, endless entertainment and an amazing atmosphere all rolled together, dipped in chocolate and served with a side of fireworks!

No really, brunches are a must-do in Dubai and are a great way to enjoy the weather during the cooler months. Especially during the festive season, brunches tend to be even bigger and better than the rest of the year, you may even catch some firework displays too.

Walk in the clouds

What’s a visit to Dubai without a breathtaking view?

Aura sky pool on The Palm Jumeirah, is slowly becoming an unmissable attraction on Dubai’s must-see list. The rooftop pool and lounge boast a 360-degree view of Dubai’s skyline and there’s an array of options available upon booking, including morning, full-day and evening packages.

We’d recommend you take a trip there on New Year’s Eve and enjoy the spectacular scenery whilst watching the sun go down. Plus, come midnight, say hello to 2022 with a front-row seat to every firework display across Dubai.
