1. What are email alerts? 

Betterhomes' email alerts are time-saving updates of the latest relevant property listings based on your search criteria. They enable you to automatically receive properties that accurately meet your search requirements, straight to your inbox. By telling us what you are searching for, we will be able to send you automatic updates so that you'll never have to conduct repetitive searches. 

2. How do I sign up? 

The first step is to create an account via My Account at bhomes.com. You can do so by clicking here. If you are already registered, you can activate the e-mail alerts service at any point, by saving your searches and following the online prompts. 

3. How can I start receiving alerts? 

Sign into your account and start searching for property on bhomes.com. Save a search by clicking on the ‘Save this search’ icon - this can be seen at the top of the property listings on a search result page. Once you save a search, you will be prompted to receive email alerts relating to the search. You will be able to choose how often you’d like to receive property email alerts to your inbox. 

4. I'm not getting the alerts that I expected. How do I get more relevant results? 

If the email alerts you are receiving for a particular search are not what you expected, then chances are that the search criteria are too broad. You can update your search criteria by clicking on ‘Edit your saved searches’ or ‘Edit your email alerts’ from your dashboard within My Account. Your dashboard is the My Account homepage. You can also refine your search by: 

  • Trying different keywords
  • Trying more general keywords
  • Trying fewer keywords

This will help you conduct specific searches for the property you’re looking for, and in turn, generate email alerts with relevant property listings. 

5. I have many alerts. How do I manage them all? 

On the ‘Edit your email alerts' or ‘Saved searches and alerts’ pages, you can view and verify any alert you wish. 

6. How do I delete my alerts? 

You can delete an alert by deleting the search for which the alert was set up for. Click on ‘Delete this search’ on the ‘Edit your email alerts' or ‘Saved searches and alerts’ pages. 

7. What is the maximum number of alerts I can create? 

There is no limit on the number of alerts you can create. To effectively manage your alerts, you can either delete existing alerts (as explained above) or request alerts to be sent to a different account. Remember, alerts are directly linked to a saved search, so in order to create an email alert, you must setup and save a search that matches your specific criteria.
