About Umm Al Quwain

Umm Al Qaiwain the second smallest emirate located in north of UAE. It is bordered with Sharjah and Ajman to the south and Ras Al Khaimah to its north. The total land area is around 750 to 800 square kilometers. Umm Al Qaiwain possesses beautiful lush green mangroves that spread over coastal areas of the Persian Gulf and islands across the bank and fertile land areas around Falaj Al Moalla. The name Umm Al Qaiwain is an Arabic name that means “Mother of the Two Powers. Previously it was an independent state ruled by a Mulla family. This emirate has smallest population among all other emirates of UAE. Date farming and fishing are the local professions of residents living this emirate. After its union with UAE in 1971, this state started showing great progress and development in its economy and infrastructure.

Like other UAE emirates Umm Al Qaiwain also started struggling to become one of the rapidly progressing emirates in UAE that is making huge investments to construct this emirate a hot spot for tourism. As this emirate have some of the best attractions for tourists in UAE including Umm Al Quwain Fort, Old Harbor, Dreamland Aqua Park and Al Dour Island. The fast growth rate in travel and tourism sector directly enhances the progress rate of construction and building sector of UAE. Travelers and tourists visiting this emirate will require some suitable place to accommodate.

Due to this increasing demand of short term rental accommodation places diverts attention of developers and property investors to build properties like villas, apartments and hotels. Besides residential construction projects, this state also showed excellent developments in building of roads and parks. Such construction projects eventually become able to attract investor’s interest to make investment in Umm Al Quwain. 

Although, this state has small land area but it has really great potential to become the key player of the UAE real estate market. Various mega construction projects have launched by leading developers and still they continue to launch more projects in coming years. It is expected that in near future this state will become a commercial spot in UAE offering investment opportunities in various business sectors.
