Join the Lomond team, a subsidiary of the Betterhomes Group, as we seek a dedicated and seasoned Mortgage Consultant. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly by delivering a high-quality, customized, and supportive mortgage service that bridges the gap between our company and clients. Your responsibilities will extend to cultivating new business opportunities while fostering collaboration across various departments.
Other accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with various lenders to find the best deal for a home buyer.
- Originate loans to sell to lending institutions.
- Act as an intermediary between a lender and a borrower who needs a mortgage loan.
- Evaluate pay stubs, credit history, tax information and bank statements for financial status.
- Work to ensure compliance with banking and or finance laws in the jurisdiction of the consumer.
- Sell loans in the name of other organizations and businesses.
- Verify the income of the borrower as well as gather their credit information.
- Follow through with the lender and client during the approval process.
- Explain the legal aspects of the loan to the borrower as well as the payment terms and clauses to them.
- Define repayment terms to consumer and educate them on default consequences
- Adhere to company’s policy and procedure for each transaction including issuing, collecting and recording relevant documentation.
- Pro-actively strive to have an in-depth understanding of the local market, advertising and signage requirements.
- Promote other Betterhomes Group Services where appropriate and generate referral leads.
- Other Company related duties that may be assigned by the head of the department that are consistent with the department and Company mandate
Required Competencies
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the UAE property/mortgage industry.
- Proven ability to influence decision making and close high net worth deals.
- Well established personal and professional network of contacts and high net worth clients.
- Expert knowledge with rules and regulations of the real estate/mortgage industry in UAE.
- Proficient in using MS Office, Internet, Database Software, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding presentation skills
- Must have a UAE Driving license
