Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC)

Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) was officially opened for exhibitions in February 2007, soon it has recognized as the largest exhibition center of Middle East region. It provides state of the art well equipped indoor event and exhibition space of 73,000sqm. The project was established in August 2005 during the ruling era of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.


The venue is located in the Diplomatic District of capital city on Mussafah Road and Khaleej Al Arabi Street. It is conveniently accessible via all well developed networks of roads in the city. This multipurpose project is located within the close vicinity of important places in the city. It is just 10 minutes away from Abu Dhabi City Center and Abu Dhabi International Airport. Moreover, it is also just 40 minutes away from Jabel Ali, Dubai.

Important Features:

The exhibition center ADNEC serves as venue for 100 exhibitions, conferences, live events and even wedding parties every year. According to rough estimate it receives 1.8 million visitors every year.

Exhibition Halls

The project consists of 12 interconnected, flat roofed exhibition halls with total floor area of 73,000 sqm. Halls are perfectly suitable for all kind of events and exhibitions. The display units are fully fitted with state of the art IT facilities for convenience of participants and visitors. .

Conference Halls

The development also has two conference halls with maximum capacity of holding 1,000 guests. The place can be a perfect venue for all type of conferences. These lobbies can be subdivided in to two, three or four smaller meeting rooms with fully retractable walls. The halls are elegantly decorated in Arabian style while utilizing modern fixtures. The hall A has total floor area of 150 sqm whereas hall B is spread over 765 sqm. Moreover, there is a proper reception and cocktail area, Banquet hall facilities for important events and class rooms.

Al Maa’red Hall

Al Maa’red Hall is the luxury hall located near the ICC Abu Dhabi. The project is skillfully designed and decorated with contemporary Arabian design. It is beautifully constructed to create a master piece, which is capable to become first choice venue for social and special family events like weddings. The hall offers outstanding hospitality amenities with fixtures especially collected across the world to make this venue a place that truly represents luxury and style. The hall consists of 1,500 sqm hall, 600 sqm pre-function area and 150 sqm Arabic Majlis and luxurious bridal suites with a separate entrance with complete privacy. The lobby can easily accommodate 300-750 guests at a time.

ADNEC Waterfront Quayside (Waterfront Celebration Area)

Besides offering indoor and outdoor areas for exhibitions and events, the exhibition center also provides waterfront area for celebrating marine events. ADNEC Waterfront Quayside is the space especially designed for waterfront events. The place is linked with primary exhibition center viw striking 162m pedestrian footbridge which cross the Khaleej Al Arabi Coast Road. Total area of Waterfront Quayside is 19,500sqm which has additional 1750sqm concrete pontoon and 250m quay wall. The venue has channel depth of 6m that allows marine vessels to berth at ADNEC. Moreover, it is also connected via an exclusive VIP access road.

International Convention Centre (ICC)

International Convention Centre (ICC) provides perfect place for large meetings and conferences. It is equipped with flexible, tiered seating enough for up to 6,000 delegates. It also has exhibition space, catering areas with super luxury accommodation options possessing more than 4,000 rooms on site or within 10 minutes away from the spot. Major events that had already held in ICC include World Ophthalmology Congress 2012, World Future Energy Summit (WFES) first IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) General Assembly.

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center is a state of the art multipurpose complex which has been continuing exhibitions and shows with combined efforts of four exhibition organizing companies, IIR Middle East, CMP Information, Reed Exhibitions and dmg world media. They have signed long term agreements for carrying out shows at ADNEC exhibition center. This partnership strategy helps them to work with mutual understanding to maintain developing trade events and facilitate expansion of exhibition business sector of the capital emirate. The whole project is primarily divided in to two phases, Phase 1 and Phase 2. First phase was actually built as an extension of existing Heritage Grandstand. It was designed to work as an integral part of this existing unit, whereas it is also capable to operate independently. The second phase has also built to add five exhibition halls linked by a public courtyard and with front and back accommodation area. Moreover, the phase 2 also included the Aloft Hotel with 408 bedrooms and a wedding hall to accommodate 800 guests. After completion the project will offer 55,000 sqm of inter connected hall space that include 3,168 sqm reception area, 18,000 sqm of U-shaped concourse, 2,000 sqm food courts and spacious multistory car-parking. Besides exhibition center, the project also incorporates mixture of residential and commercial towers, Hyatt Hotel and a Marina. Capital Tower, the most inclined tower is also located just adjacent to ADNEC.

Due to its outstanding architectural design, the project also has won the Construction Week Award “Project of the Year” in year 2008. The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center will play a key role to improve business and trade sector in the emirate and get it recognized as a commercial destination in the Gulf region. Since the time of its opening the exhibition center has attracted more than one million visitors every year. The venue is performing great role to develop business and exhibition sectors.
