Fall in love with Palm Jumeirah – the ultimate in luxurious living

You will have come across it at some point, whether you’ve flown over it, driven on it, or seen it in images all over the internet. Dubai’s iconic landmark, Palm Jumeirah, is a man-made residential island community, which looks like a styled palm tree from above. Synonymous with luxury, Palm Jumeirah’s fronds cater to exclusive villas with private beaches, while its trunk and crescent is home to low-rise apartment buildings, hotels and beach resorts.

One of the island’s most famous landmarks is Atlantis, The Palm, with its seashell–pink arches and turrets, and there’s a host of other international five-star hotels, including Fairmont The Palm, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, Rixos The Palm, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, One and Only The Palm, Kempinski Palm Jumeirah and Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah. Each brings its own restaurants, bars, clubs
and swimming pools. Meanwhile, the futuristic, second ‘Atlantis’, The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences, is scheduled to open in late 2019.

Nakheel Mall is also nearly complete. Located in the heart of the archipelago, it will offer five storeys of shopping, rooftop dining, cinemas, leisure facilities and, of course, VIP entrances. Perhaps most notably, a St. Regis hotel is being built right into The Palm Tower, a 52-storey tower alongside the mall.

The new wave of attractions will benefit from the Palm’s premier address. Located a few minutes’ drive from Dubai Marina, The Greens, Dubai Media City and Knowledge Village, the neighbourhood is also a short drive from Mall of the Emirates and Madinat Jumeirah. The island offers good public transport links, including bus routes, Palm Monorail, water taxis, and private taxis, which are present at the many hotels, beach resorts and residential buildings.

The properties on Palm Jumeirah are known for their luxurious finish and spaciousness. There is also a wide range available, from studio apartments to four and five-bedroom penthouse apartments and hotel apartments, penthouses, townhouses in residential buildings, and villas, with their own private beach. Most developments offer facilities that include state-of-the-art gyms, swimming pools and lazy rivers with access to spas, beaches and fine dining outlets.

Located on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, Golden Mile Galleria offers retail, restaurants, coffee shops, a fitness centre, a pharmacy and beauty salons. It also opens up onto a running track surrounded by fragrant gardens. Nearby Club Vista Mare, which is a residential building with studio apartments on the first floor and several restaurants and bars on the ground floor, is popular for its sea views.

Food trucks offer snacks and beverages on Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk, which is very popular for its sweeping views of the Dubai coastline.

While, perhaps, the main attraction of Palm Jumeirah is the clear blue waters of the Arabian Gulf, there is always a buzz around the continually developing community which will always be an enticing place to live.
