What’s coming up in Dubai in March?

Here are some of the biggest events coming up in the month of March 2020! This will be an especially exciting month for foodies and comedy lovers.

 

Middle East Film and Comic Con

March 05 – 07

 

 

This is a popular annual event that celebrates pop culture and particularly comic book, anime and superhero characters. Fans will attend in fancy dress to partake in cosplay competitions, meet film stars, attend workshops and theatre shows. The event will take place over three days at the World Trade Centre and is family friendly.

 

Best Fest!

March 7

 

 

On the first Saturday in March Betterhomes and Reform Social & Grill are hosting a fun afternoon for both adults and children! Everybody is welcome, adults, children and dogs, too! We will be in the garden at Reform Social & Grill in The Lakes from 2-6pm with a range of fun activities including a dunk tank, a house painting station and a competition to win an AED 500 voucher for Reform! Fantastic food and drinks will be available from Reform including outdoor bars and barbecue stations, there will be live music from Francoise, more children’s activities from Crafty Station and a range of boutique brands with beautiful clothes, accessories and home decor. We’d love to see you there!

 

Dubai International Boat Show

March 10 – 14

 

 

This year’s boat show will give guests exclusive access to the most luxurious superyachts, boats, aqua bikes, underwater sledges, diving and deep-diving equipment. You’ll also have access to the world’s best marine technologies and equipment. This will be the first year that the event will take place in Dubai Harbour. The event is perfect for boat, jet ski and water gear lovers and particularly if you’re looking to make a big purchase, but the event also caters to those who just wish to spend the weekend out in the sun trying some new activities and enjoying the entertainment, food and music on offer at the event! It’s family-friendly and is positioned as the region's number one marine luxury, leisure and lifestyle industry event.

 

Taste of Dubai

March 12 – 14

 

 

The annual food festival in Media City Amphitheatre showcases Dubai’s best restaurants, chefs and food and drink brands. There will be live music, lots of taster samples, live cooking shows and interactive masterclasses that guests can take part in. You will of course be able to shop from an excellent line up of food vendors too. The festival launched in London in 2004 and has now grown into an international event showcasing the best cuisine in many countries across the world.

 

Sikka Art Festival

March 19 – 29

 

 

This festival is one of the main initiatives under the Dubai Art Season umbrella. This year the festival is in its 10th year of welcoming artists across all forms of art to transform the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood’s alleyways and courtyards for ten days. The festival features outdoor installations and activations to showcase visual arts, performances, music and film. There is also a schedule of free workshops for adults and children and street food vendors for guests to enjoy. 

 

DXB Laughs with Romesh Ranganathan

 

 

March 20

The annual comedy show takes place at the World Trade Centre. The event has featured many famous comedy performers and this year will welcome leading UK stand-up comedian and actor Romesh Ranganathan for its headline show. He is well known for his various television and comedy panel show appearances as well as his podcast “Hip Hop saved my life”. He will be performing in the UAE for one night only so if you’re a fan this is not one to miss! 

 

Dubai World Cup

 

March 28

The annual global horse racing competition is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with six Group 1 races and three Group 2 races. The Dubai World Cup race is one of the world’s top races and is sponsored by Emirates Airlines. This is known to be the biggest sporting and social event on the Dubai calendar and is held at Meydan Racecourse. Guests have the option to choose from a variety of hospitality packages for all budgets.
